Western Style Brisket
1 (4-5 lb.) brisket
Celery Salt
Onion Salt
Garlic Salt
4 oz. liquid smoke
4 oz. Worcestershire sauce
Salt & Pepper
Rub brisket with celery, onion, and garlic salts. Pour liquid smoke and worcestershire sauce over brisket.
Cover and marinate overnight.
Drain and discard marinate.
Salt and pepper.
Bake at 250 degrees for 8 hours in roasting bag.
Brisket can be served with or without sauce (recipe below).
Sauce:
4 cups ketchup
1 oz. chili powder
2/3 cup brown sugar
2 oz. liquid smoke
1/2 cup vinegar
2 cups water
2 tbsp. mustard
Mix all ingredients and heat in pan. Keep warm until ready to serve.
(Freezes well).
